Visual analysis of rugby matches: Pixel-oriented visualization and evaluation indices

In this study, we take various features inherent to rugby into account to propose a novel pixel-oriented visualization method that helps spectators immediately grasp the transition of tactile situations in a match. We also deploy a set of indices to quantitatively analyze the strategic advantage that a team gains in the match.
