Generation of Complementary Background Images for Portrait Illustrations Using Interactive Genetic Algorithm


I love piano, painting, and calligraphy, and I wanted to apply my experience in these arts to computer graphics, so I applied to Fujishiro Lab.

I am interested in non-photorealistic rendering and doing research on illustration.
In my bachelor’s research, I conducted research on stylization, which involved multiple styles of painting materials such as oil and watercolor.
For my master’s research, I studied the generation of simple backgrounds that complement the main characters in portrait illustrations.

I also surveyed papers on stylization methods for non-photorealistic rendering and presented them at research conferences.
